Development of volunteer initiatives in Kharkiv Region
The goal of the project is to encourage and motivate youth and increase awareness about volunteer opportunities through providing teachers with techniques and tools to be utilized to engage students in civil activities to solve challenges of the communities.
A School of Community Journalism was established by this project. Students participated in monitoring and reporting on volunteer initiatives. Methodology of the project and success stories were presented within a School of Achievements and published in booklet.

Kharkov Region Association of Community Initiatives “ASSA” is a non-profit organization that supports development of civic society in Ukraine through development of educational, training and technical support initiatives.
ASSA Association was created in 1997. Since then, the organization developed and implemented about 40 programs and projects funded by international governmental and philanthropic foundations. The majority of the projects contained an educational component.
